ABOUT THE COCKTAIL
This Black History Month, we asked incredible bartenders to create inspired Ten To One cocktails that embody the spirit of Black innovation and creativity. The name of the cocktail “Stroll down Lenox” symbolizes the walk many African-Americans had to make past 142nd and Lenox Ave as a result of not being accepted for patronage. What’s in this glass is an experience that speaks to the art of the Black creatives , white chocolate water is used to play on the elegance bestowed on the all-white crowd, and banana oleo-saccharum serving up a sweetness similar to Lena Horne when she sang "sweeter than sweet." Passionfruit and acid-ad- justed O.J. provide the tangy pops on the palate reminiscent of Bill "Bojangles" Robinson and Sammy Davis Jr. TTO white is defiant, yet balanced. The profile speaks to our people’s past and present in alignment with how leaders of the Renaissance took pride in their origins as they paved the way for a new Black future.
