ABOUT THE COCKTAIL
This Black History Month, we asked incredible bartenders to create inspired Ten To One cocktails that embody the spirit of Black innovation and creativity. This cocktail is a tribute to writer, activist and historian Arthur Schomburg, and his concept of Negro Genius. The recipe includes ingredients such as black rice water, black walnut, and fig to represent the depth of the Black experience, and ingredients such as Ten to One White and coconut to symbolize the vibrant, creative spaces of the Harlem Renaissance. Finished with a sprinkling of edible gold, Kyisha’s creation captures the brilliance of this era and of the Negro Genius.
