Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Express oils from orange peel over glass and garnish.
This has become my new favorite way to drink rum. The bitterness combined with the funkiness of the rum makes for a complex, bold, and balanced cocktail. The floral notes of the Jamaican pot still bring a great richness to this classic.
